Why these squares work
R1C2 — pink
The violet region lies entirely in column 1, reserving that column for violet. Pink must use row 1, so its R1C1 candidate is excluded and R1C2 remains.
R2C4 — mint
R2C1 and R2C3 touch R1C2; C2 is already occupied. Row 2 must use C4.
R4C3 — yellow
Violet needs column 1 in row 3 or 4. If violet used R4C1, row 3 would need C3, diagonally touching R2C4. So violet must be R3C1; the remaining yellow placement is R4C3.
R3C1 — violet
Confirm the violet placement. The observed recording already has this piece at its beginning; that does not mean every session prefills it.
